Autumn + Aaron
You need to actually step out of the car and walk around the cottage vineyard and winery to see the beauty this wedding venue has to offer. At first this doesn’t really look like much, but with vineyards, and a view of the north ridge mountains your bound to create something amazing. And that is exactly what we did with Autumn and Aaron during their engagement session.
At first the cottage vineyard and winery doesn’t look like much, but once we parked and started to walk around we started to think about creative ways to make some amazing engagement photos for Autumn + Aaron. I was working with Krista Ballington, so she let me take charge for the day.
My first plan was to take this amazing, loving couple down the vineyards and take a few shots there. Working our way up back to the parking.
Both Autumn and Aaron didn’t know much about what to do during an engagement session, which was not a problem. Since most guys are usually tougher to photograph because they feel a bit weird or awkward, it was easy to make them do what I asked. Since I normally do not make anyone pose, but instead act out couple of scenes to make it look more natural.
There were times when Aaron did a bit too much, but that made the session even more fun and exciting to photograph. We got some amazing reaction shots while Aaron was goofing around more then required.
This engagement session was suppose to last only an hour, but we had so much fun that it went beyond 2hours of session time. Every time we changed places, I asked if they were up for more and they never said no. With an attitude like that, I can keep going and I would’ve had until.
As it was getting dark, I wanted to take out my flash and start shooting some night time photos, but I was getting a bit tried. Walking up the big hill at the cottage vineyard and winery got me tired.
