A fellow photographer friend had asked me if I was available to photograph a wedding in Greer, SC. It’s very rare that I ever say no, so I think she already new the answer. We have work together in the past, so I was aware of where I needed to be at and who I was covering.
As a 2nd shooter, I am always tasked with having to cover the groom. So this wedding, I do not have any bride getting ready shots.
Upon arriving to Cannon Centre in Greer SC, I headed straight to the groom (Jacob). I was surprised Jacob was so young. I told Jacob the usually on how I do photography. First it’s gonna be all natural just you and your boys hanging out. When you guys get dress we do some creative shots, but all natural.
I don’t make my clients pose too much, but instead we act out a scene. It all depends on the people I photographing honestly. With Jacob and his groomsmen I had no problem doing either or.
Having capture the normal, getting stuff with the boys, we then we outside to get some nice group shots of them hanging out. The building inside was not that great as for the background.
Cannon Centre: First Look Bride & Groom
As I was finishing up doing the boys, the ladies was ready for first look. Since, I was already outside I had two places in mind for the first look. First choice was the gazebo right in the middle of the city park. The 2nd choice well, never mad it.
Cannon Centre: Ceremony
Cannon Centre: Portraits & Bridal Party
We did some bridal portraits before the ceremony and some after. To keep this page from overflowing with image, I decided to condense the images into one section.
I actually able to pull out my flash and try something new here since we had time to take the bridal parties pictures. I really love the way they came out.
Cannon Centre: Reception
Reception time is the best time to be a bit creative since you have so much time during the dancing part. However, before that it’s just trying to be ready for the toast, and cake cutting.
Toward the end, I did want to take Jacob and Madison out to do some creative shot, but it did not work out according to plan. Both Jacob and Madison was a sport about it and thanked me for atleast trying.
