Elopement Wedding What Is It?
Elopement Wedding might be the best route instead of bothering with conventions and constraints regarding their own wedding celebration, the bride and groom decide to give the affirmative without guest. Elopement weddings are often associated with travel; the bride and groom pack their bags and fly or drive away.
The two of them enjoy the day all to themselves and have no one with them to tell them what to do and what not to do. With the exception of the photographer. Are you interested? Keep reading!
1. Corona Virus
If you ever thought of doing an elopement wedding, now is the best time to do it. Just this one reason should be enough for you right now during this crisis. Not only are you being safe, but you are also keeping your loved ones safe. And you gonna be saving a crap load of money.
I wrote an article few days, about coronavirus and your wedding and well after writing that article I thought, hmm… there is no better reason not do elopement wedding right now. Most places have bans with large gathering and it’s only matter of time before the ban becomes tighter.
Couple of states up north already have a curfew and are now banning large gather of more then 10 people! So if you still want or need to get married during this epidemic, there really isn’t any other options.
2. More Funds
A wedding with many guests, a nice location, good food, music and dance costs a lot of money! The venue, the photographer, the videographer, the floral decoration, etc all play a large part of the budget for many couples – not to mention the wedding dress and the wedding suit.
The more guests want to be entertained and catered for at a wedding, the more financial resources the lovers have to pump into the celebration. In the end, there is usually a large hole in the account and honeymoons are often no longer possible.
Anyone who chooses an elopement wedding celebrates without guests and can save a lot of money accordingly. This money can in turn be invested into a better trip. You get a great adventure and honeymoon in one!
3. You are the only one in focus
Your wedding should be the most beautiful day in your life. However, you end up pleasing your soccer buddies, the mother in law or your best friend more then yourself. So now, it’s not about you anymore but rather everyone and you.
This can not happen during an elopement wedding because you are the only guest. Now it’s all about you and makes your day even more beautiful. Heck you can even turn it into an intimate unforgettable experience.
4. No stress with the guest list
Planning the guest list can be a huge task itself. Does that annoying aunt needs to be invited? Does the co-worker, who you just do not get along needs to be invite? And it only get’s worse when the mother, or father-in-law starts to interfere with the list.
At an elopement wedding guess what? It doesn’t matter because the main people are already there and no need to worry about making the guest list.
5. A Real Adventure
An elopement wedding can bond you two as a couple even more. This is especially true if you choose a very special trip. I can think of quite few places already that would be very adventurous! Do something extraordinary and treat yourself to things that you would normally would not even think about.
It should be unforgettable for you in a positive way now, don’t do something you can’t handle haha.
If it becomes difficult for you to organize your elopement wedding secretly, ask a wedding planner or photographer for help. They are now very familiar with elopement weddings because more couples are opting for this unusual way.
6. Unforgettable and Breathtaking Photos
When the photographer has all the time in the world with the couples, he/she can crate some amazing images just by using the environment around.
I am a photographer that like adventure, I like to do things different. Things out of the norm. Having photographed so many weddings, one thing that I can say is that, they are all the same. Group shots of bridal party, portrait session of the bride and groom, family portraits, etc. The basics of any wedding.
With an Elopement Wedding, being outdoor on top of that mountain, or in sandy dessert somewhere in the world adds a little spice to the photographs. How amazing would it be to show your friends/family of exotic landscape while you are in your wedding outfits?
I am already getting goose bumps from just thinking about the type of images I would create!
hmmm... maybe I should elope?
Keep yourself save, your friends safe, and most importantly your family. Elopement wedding is the best alternative to the traditional wedding, and right now with the corona virus getting more widespread, IT IS THE SAFEST ROUTE. Talk to your wedding photographer/planner and still get married!
