Had an amazing pleasure of covering a very unique wedding, a 50th anniversary wedding down in Macon, GA. This wedding itself was a bit different then normal weddings I usually cover, hence it was more relax and really just capture the moment type. No posing needed, at least on my end being the 2nd shooter.
The wedding ceremony took place at Willet’s & Joseph’s church as the pastor was their son. The bridesmaid and groomsmen was all their children and grand children. So pretty much their entire family was part of the bridal party.
I have no shots of Joseph during this wedding, because he stated “he didn’t want a photographer following around”. Haha, now isn’t that cool?? But I did wish I gotten at least one or two shot of him solo. It would’ve completed the story.
The wedding reception took place at the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame in Macon, GA. Had gotten plenty of details as it was just amazing the way they setup a sports complex as a wedding venue.
Having been married for 50 years, raising three generation of children is no easy task. It takes commitment, dedication, and lastly the one piece that ties this all together is “love”.
I was very grateful that I had the pleasure to cover this special moment of their life as they are continuing the journey they started 50th years ago.
Upon my departure, I do my usual of saying good bye. But she wanted me to stay a bit longer as she had a surprise for Joseph and wanted to make sure she got it covered. Joseph had no idea, but Willet told me what it was, and well… i couldn’t just leave yet.
You guys gonna have to figure out what that surprise was. Clues are in the photos I captured!
